Udinese Calcio is delighted to announce the signing of Brenner Souza da Silva from MLS side FC Cincinnati.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has signed a five-year contract until 30 June 2028 and will join the club from 1 July.

Brenner is a skilful forward with excellent athletic ability and an eye for goal who can operate anywhere along the front line.

Born in Cuiaba on 16 January 2000, he joined Sao Paulo at a young age before working his way up through the youth ranks of one of South America's biggest clubs.

He broke into the first team aged 17, netting one goal in four league appearances in 2017.

The following season, he made 10 appearances in all competitions with two goals.

In 2019, he joined Fluminense on loan before returning to Sao Paulo the following year.

2020 was his breakout year as he struck 21 goals in just four months between August and December in the Brazilian league and cup, Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.

FC Cincinnati snapped him up in 2021 and he has since impressed in the MLS, bagging eight goals in his first season and 18, plus six assists, in 2022.

At the start of the current campaign he has one goal in seven matches.

Brenner helped Brazili win the South American U17 Championship in 2017.

Bem-vindo Brenner!
