Saturday's match at Unipol Domus will be the 58th match-up between Udinese and Cagliari in Serie A, with previous encounters yielding 28 wins for the Friulians, 12 for the Sardinians and 17 draws.

Udinese have lost just one of their last 11 meetings with Cagliari and are unbeaten in five visits to Sardinia, keeping clean sheets in three of the most recent four.

The reverse fixture at Bluenergy Stadium (25 October) finished 2-0 to Kosta Runjaic's side with Lorenzo Lucca and Keinan Davis on the score sheet, while the most recent clash in Cagliari was a 0-0 draw on 17 September 2023. The most common result when these sides meet is 1-1.

Udinese have scored seven goals from corners this term (only Inter and Parma have managed more) while Cagliari have conceded nine from corners – more than any other team.

Both sides have scored nine headed goals this term, ranking them first and second in percentage terms for total goals scored (Cagliari 26%, Udinese 25%).

Udinese have also recorded the highest percentage of goals scored from outside the box in 2024/25: 17%, or six of 36.

Over the course of his career, Alexis Sanchez has had a hand in eight goals against Cagliari (four scored, four assisted) – more than against any other club. In fact, his last goal for Udinese was in Sardinia, in a 4-0 win on 13 March 2011.

Keinan Davis has also scored against the Sardinians before (in the reverse fixture) and Udinese have not lost a Serie A match when he has scored (three times).

Jordan Zemura opened his Serie A account against Cagliari in a 1-1 draw on 18 February 2024.

Sandi Lovric's next Serie A appearance will be his 100th in the Italian top flight for Udinese.

Rui Modesto could face the club he made his Serie A debut against, in our 2-0 win earlier this season.

There are no former players for either side but Cagliari boss Davide Nicola will be up against his ex-club, having coached Udinese for 15 matches in the 2018/19 season. He took over from Julio Velazquez and was in turn replaced by Igor Tudor.
