Jean-Victor Makengo guested on tonight's episode of ‘Udinese Tonight.’ Here are a few of the things he had to say:
“Sunday's victory over Torino was important for the team, especially given the run we’d been on. I'm delighted for getting three points.
“My time living in Udine and playing for Udinese is my first experience abroad both personally and professionally. I found the language barrier and new culture hard at first, but now I’m all settled in and everything’s more seamless for me now.
“The coach always asks me to use my qualities: carrying the ball, scoring goals and providing assists. I’m keen to help the team and I really enjoy playing in this role.
“Coach Gabriele Cioffi has a very strong personality; he knows what he wants. He’s very clear in the instructions he gives us and this is very important. He’s got a very direct relationship with us.
“I take one game at a time and my aim is to help the team by providing goals and assists.
“Serie A is very tactical. In training we work a lot on both tactics and the physical side of the game because we're required to run a lot."
