Simone Pafundi is relishing the chance to take part in a pre-season training camp with the first team for the first time. The youngster took some time out to speak to Udinese TV about the experience so far.
“The last year has been fantastic for me. I made a great start with the Primavera side, but unfortunately then suffered an injury that ruled me out for a while. That was then followed by a happy period. When I was injured, the club and my family played a key role and I managed to remain myself and not lose my head. My family always supports me and encourages me to do well off the pitch as well.
“The atmosphere on a pre-season training camp is new to me. I’ve never previously experienced anything like it with senior players. It’s a bit strange but I’ve been part of this squad for a year now and I’m really happy.
“Andrea Sottil wants every game to go well rather than be a mundane friendly. He pushes us to give our all. I expect to keep working hard this coming season to do well for this club.”
