After Udinese were beaten 1-0 by Verona on Saturday afternoon, Kosta offered the following assessment of his side's performance:
“We knew it would be a difficult game. Verona defend very deep. The game was won by a single moment. Our efforts weren't enough: we didn't show enough energy or determination in one on ones and we didn't create any chances in the first half.
“The second half was similar. Without that great goal by [Ondrej] Duda it would have ended 0-0. We made half-time changes to inject energy as [Jurgen] Ekkelenkamp offers a lot of running. After they scored, we found it hard to fashion openings because they defended very well.
“We weren't on a high after our recent results and we won't get down now. They lads tried but it wasn't enough. We'll rest and then go again.”
