This is what Kosta Runjaic had to say at his press conference after Udinese's 2-0 cup win over Carrarese:
“First of all, I want to congratulate the team: we won at home, in front of our fans, against an opponent with an interesting style of play. When they got the chance, the passed the ball around well and showed a lot of movement. I was impressed. They didn't alter the way they play because they were up against a Serie A side. They made us work for it.
“It was an interesting game. We didn't give them many chances until the end and it was important to win. We were always going to have more of the ball and they were going to sit deep. We needed to find a way to break through their lines and we did that with [Arthur] Atta's dribbling ability.
“In the second half we kept the ball but didn't always threaten and Carrarese caused problems for us.
“It was a good test and it's given us some initial feedback. We'll analyse the game in depth.
“[Iker] Bravo scored too and he's getting better. He's scored in our friendlies and he scores a lot in training. He showed how dangerous he can be tonight.
“Now we have Verona. There are things we need to work on and others we need to look at but it'ss good to have won. We'll have a short match tomorrow for those who didn't play today and then we'll set about preparing for the next game.”
