Kosta Runjaic held a press conference on Friday ahead of Parma's visit to Bluenergy Stadium.

The coach discussed the goalkeeper situation in the wake of Razvan Sava's hand injury, last weekend's penalty incident in Lecce and the specific dangers of facing a side like Parma.

“It's a real shame that Sava got this injury and will have to undergo surgery now. Injuries can happen in training and you can't always prevent them. He was doing well and getting used to playing in Serie A but we're going to be without him now. In any case, we'll have a good goalkeeper between the sticks against Parma. I can't tell you who yet. There are good arguments for both [Daniele] Padelli and [Edoardo] Piana. I'm not worried because we all defend together. We'll need to be on our toes defensively, including the goalkeeper. We'll find out tomorrow who will start.

“[Maduka] Okoye will be available again next week. He's been training individually. Next week he'll rejoin the group and then we'll see when he's ready to be included in the matchday squad. It's already a good thing that he's set to return to full training. He's improving and I'm happy. He's been working on lots of different areas and I think he'll come back energised.

“We've obviously spoken together as a team about the penalty in Lecce. [Lorenzo] Lucca has already apologised – publicly too – and we spoke to him. Sometimes you get negative situations like this but they can turn out to have positive consequences. The team always comes first. The players must show respect for the team and its values. It was a one-off that was limited to the Lecce game.

“We trained well during the week and there's a good atmosphere. Lucca has been very active and I'm expecting a lot from him tomorrow – hard work for the team and an attacking threat. I hope he plays well and scores as many goals as possible for himself and for us as a team. His penalty helped us beat Lecce but we worked well as a team. We managed to take the lead and then held firm in the second half.

“Tomorrow will be a different game. We'll be playing against a team who have recently changed coach and who beat Bologna last week through no fluke. They played well with intensity when they didn't have the ball. They're dangerous from corners and in transition.

“We'll need to be very mobile, keep the ball moving and work well as a team. We must try not to concede too many corners or give the ball away in dangerous situations. We know they are a very tight unit so we'll need to be patient and move a lot when we have the ball and show purpose in the final third. We need Lucca for that – he's very important for us with his style of play.

“It's going to be a tough match. They're highly motivated and have good players. They'll do everything they can to leave here with at least a point. They'll be no pushovers.”

“[Keinan] Davis will be available for this game. He's been able to get another week's work under his belt. We'll see how the game goes but depending on what happens he could play a portion of the match. He definitely won't start. He's not fully fit yet. He's getting there but he needs time to get back into shape. With every week he's adding more work and it's good for him. Hopefully he'll remain available for the rest of the season. If that happens, he could regain his starting spot.”
