Udinese Calcio is pleased to announce the signing of Sekou Diawara from Genk.

The Belgian youngster has put pen to paper on a contract running until 30 June 2027.

A centre-forward with impressive physical and technical attributes, the 18-year-old caught the eye while playing for Genk's academy teams.

Born in Deinze on 8 February 2004, Diawara came through the youth ranks at Gent before joining Genk in 2018.

He made his UEFA Youth League debut for Genk U19s in September 2019 aged just 15, scoring three goals in four appearances in the competition last term and one in two this season.

This season, Sekou has scored four goals in 11 games for Jong Genk in the Belgian second-tier Challenger Pro League.

Diawara has represented Belgium from U15 to U19 level and currently has three goals in three U19 appearances.

For now he will join up with the Udinese Primavera team coached by Jani Sturm.

Welcome to Udine, Sekou!
