Simone Pafundi has received further recognition for his excellent progress by receiving a first call-up to the senior Italy squad.
The Udinese youth product, who currently plays for our U19 team, became the first 2006-born player to make his debut in Serie A last May when he replaced Roberto Pereyra in the 68th minute of our 4-0 win against Salernitana.
Now Roberto Mancini has included the 16-year-old on his list of 31 players for upcoming friendly matches against Albania (16 November, 20:45 - Air Albania Stadium in Tirana) and Austria (20 November, 20:45 - Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna).
