Man of the match Florian Thauvin and Daniele Padelli were interviewed pitchside after they both made a significant contribution in Udinese's 1-0 victory against Parma.

The captain converted a first half spot-kick to give Udinese the lead while the goalkeeper pulled off a number of crucial saves in the second half to keep the scoreline intact.

Here's what they had to say...

Thauvin: "We're happy with the win and we're pleased with how the season is going so far but there's still a long way to go.

“I'm happy for Daniele because he always helps the team and the man-of-the-match award should be his too.

“I don't want to talk about the penalty in Lecce – it's in the past now. Today we all worked together and that's the most important thing.”

Padelli: "It didn't go too bad, did it? I'm happy. It's all about being ready when you're called upon. It means I'm doing things the right way. But more importantly, the team is doing really well – you play with 11 players plus those who come on.

“On the first day of pre-season we all said we needed a big change of direction after last season, which was very difficult. We've done well and we're reaping the rewards for all the hard work we've put in. We have people like Florian, a World Cup winner who never stops busting his gut. It's a joy to see these lads training. They're doing a great job.”
