In what was Udinese’s penultimate home game of the season, they fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Lazio following a controversial penalty decision in the second half, converted by Ciro Immobile.
The first half was evenly-matched, with both sides having their fair share of chances. Luis Alberto came closest for the visitors while Udinese nearly took the lead on a number of occasions through Sandi Lovric.
Marco Silvestri played a blinder in goal for the hosts, pulling off a number of impressive stops. However in the 61st minute the referee awarded Lazio a penalty after Adam Masina made the slightest of contacts on Immobile, and despite a late rally by Udinese this action ultimately settled the game.
