Udinese 1-2 Monza

Kosta Runjaic’s men faced defeat on Sunday against Monza. Lorenzo Lucca found the equaliser for Udinese in a match that was almost entirely dominated by the home side however, it wasn’t to last with Kaita securing Monza’s win in the final minutes of the match.

 

Udinese quickly took control of the game with Atta putting in a dangerous cross that went behind for a corner. Udinese’s first real attempt came from Martin Payero, who unfortunately sent the ball over the net.

 

Kamara came close to finding an opener in the 20th minute when he raced towards goal before a Monza defender prevented him from getting enough power on the end of his shot.

 

Payero had another go just before half time, but he sent the ball high again. Monza’s first chance came shortly after but Omari Forson failed to find the back of the net.

 

Near the start of the second half, Monza took the lead with a goal from Gianluca Caprari. Udinese kept pushing with chances for both Rui Modesto and Lucca, who had been subbed on during the break.

 

Lucca finally found an equaliser for Udinese in the 75th minute, crossing the ball across the keeper. The goal gave the lads a boost and they continued to look dangerous with headers from both Jurgen Ekkelenkamp and Lucca.

 

Monza found the winning goal through Keita Balde in the dying moments of the match, which meant Udinese came away empty handed and stay at eleventh place in the table.
