"It was a difficult game – we knew it would be. I think we approached it in the right way, but in the end they won," Walace said after Udinese's defeat at home to Torino.
"Now we have to get our heads down and work in the coming week."
Asked whether the result can be attributed to a hangover from the team's Coppa Italia defeat, he said: "What happened on Wednesday was already in the past. Our focus was on Torino today, unfortunately we did not do well.
"We knew they pose difficulties in every area of the pitch. They approached the match well with a good defensive attitude.
"We are on the right track. I think our attitude is right against every side."
