Oier Zarraga spoke after the final whistle in Genoa. Here’s what he had to say:
“In the end, we did a great job defensively and tactically today. In the first half, we should’ve been calmer on the ball.
“As for [Florian] Thauvin, a single player doesn’t make all the difference. Of course, he’s a very strong player, but we midfielders also need to do more to score goals and support the forwards.
“Even with two midfielders, we did well. It’s different from playing with three, where you’ve got more players in the middle and can attack more effectively. The small details matter and we missed our chances, while they scored late on and took the three points. Now we have to focus on the next match at home. If we work hard, we’ll get the three points.”
