It wasn’t the result he would have hoped for, but Manuel Gasparini will be delighted to have made his first-team debut against Inter on Sunday all the same.
“It’s a great feeling to make my debut and an important milestone, but I have to look at it as just the start,” he told Udinese TV after the game. “I need to keep working hard as I’ve been doing so far. I’ve become a man this season thanks to my team-mates, the coaching staff and the club, so I’m really pleased with how it’s gone. Simone [Scuffet] and Juan [Musso] are like brothers to me – it’s hard to sum them up in words. The aim for next season is to continue improving and to make the step up.”
