Luca Gotti spoke to Udinese TV on Saturday afternoon to share his thoughts on Bologna's visit to Dacia Arena on Sunday.

Most of the squad remained in Udine during the international break. What sort of work did you do with the team?

"We've done a lot of work with the aim of raising our level in all areas – fitness, technique, tactics and mentality. We must try to improve a little every day and the international break can be a particularly constructive time in that sense.”

Udinese haven't won since the third game of the season. How important will the home crowd be tomorrow?

“Our fans' support is important but it's up to us – through our approach – to create the right atmosphere so that our fans get behind us and can give u energy back in return. It all stems from the way we approach the game and the spirit and commitment we show.”

Bologna have struggled on the road this season but had some good results at home. What sort of game are you expecting?

“We've only played seven matches and the teams you play affect things too. Bologna have played away at Atalanta, Inter and then lost at Empoli too so we can't call it a pattern. Bologna have still picked up points and things will level out over time.”

Sinisa Mihajlovic has switched to a back three recently. What will that change for Udinese?

“It doesn't change much for us – a few small differences but nothing major.”

You used a 4-2-3-1 formation in last Saturday's friendly match. How are the players adjusting to that?

“It's a playing system that enables us to play to different strengths we have in our squad. First you need the right players available if you want to play a certain way. I think it's another option that could in handy for certain games or in certain moments of games. Obviously, having played one way for so long we're more used to it. It's just a matter of changing a few principles but it does take time to assimilate a new system.”

How are the international players looking? Nahuel Molina only got back this morning after playing three full games for Argentina. Will you rest him?

"[Jens] Larsen didn't play that much – he's just fatigued from the travelling. [Destiny] Udogie did play but he was in Italy, came back early and has had time to recover. Molina came back today, played three matches and travelled a lot. We'll see how he feels tomorrow.”

Ignacio Pussetto, Gerard Deulofeu and Mato Jajalo were all back in training this week. Are they in good shape?

“They're all in good enough shape to be able to play their part.”
