After making his debut against Fiorentina just a few hours after completing his move in midweek, Kingsley Ehizibue introduced himself in an interview with Udinese TV on Friday.
Here's what our new wing-back had to say:
“I'm thrilled to be here because the club has made me feel welcome from the start. It's a nice new challenge for me after playing in the Eredivisie and the Bundesliga. Serie A is a top league with top players and I'm excited about playing here. I see this as an opportunity for me to take up the mantle of a great player like Nahuel Molina.
“I've joined a club with some fantastic players who I can only learn from. I've been impressed by pretty much all of them. I like watching them to pick up new ideas to add to my own game.
“I know I'm very fast so it will be hard for opposition forwards to get past me – and if they do, they'll have to watch out for me catching up with them! I'm also quite strong and I'm able to mix it up in one-on-ones.
“I need to improve the tactical side of my game. I've always played in a full-back role and now I'll have to adapt to covering the entire flank in a five-man midfield. I'm going to have to relearn my positioning.
“I love the stadium – both the facility itself and the fans. You sense a fantastic atmosphere from down on the pitch.
“[Andrea] Sottil is a passionate coach – he's extremely passionate about the game and he always gives everything for the team and the club.
“I'm very happy and I thank God for my debut against Fiorentina. It was a wonderful moment that I'll never forget. I'm ready for every training session and every match that the coach picks me to play in.
“My message for the fans is I'll always give 100% on the pitch for Udinese.”
