Sandi Lovric has urged Udinese to reproduce the sort of performance seen against Napoli on a consistent basis after it earned them a draw with the now Italian champions.
The Slovenian gave Udinese the lead with a superb finish – taking his tally to five goals and four assists for the season – before the visitors fought back in the second half to earn a share of the spoils.
“As I said the other day, we were determined to bounce back after a below-par performance against Lecce,” the midfielder said after the final whistle. “We know we can cause problems for big teams and we've shown that. We were excellent in the first half today, especially considering how good Napoli are.
“The next step is to perform as well as we did tonight consistently well.
“Nestorovski was immense today, holding up the ball and making runs to create space. I change my game depending on the forwards on the pitch – whether I make more runs in behind or runs from deep.”
