"We played better than in the match against Torino," Sandi Lovric said after Udinese's 2-2 draw with Sassuolo on Sunday. "We started the game very well and created many chances. We were a bit unlucky, with two deflections on the goals we conceded. The reaction was there and we have to improve even more."
He added: "I think the team lacked little today, if I think of the chances created. What was missing was a bit of luck. I believe I did well today – I made runs forward and helped the team. We turned in a good performance overall."
As regards the mood in the dressing room post-match, the midfielder commented: "We are angry because we wanted to win – that's the right spirit not to be happy with a draw. At the same time, we have confidence in our ability and in today's performance to go to Milan and play our game."
