Sandi Lovric was the guest on this week's Udinese Tonight show. Speaking from La Spezia, where the team are preparing for Tuesday's Serie A match, the midfielder first reassured fans that the injury which kept him out against Lecce was nothing serious.

“I'm fine and available for selection,” he declared.

It's good news for Udinese as the Slovene midfielder has been one of the revelations of the season in his debut Serie A campaign, quickly tying down a regular starting berth. The numbers back him up too, with the third most key passes completed.

“I like trying that type of pass and helping the team in the final third. I always try to give everything on the pitch and show what I can do. I believe in my ability. I think I've still got room for improvement in key moments of the match. I always train with the aim of being sharp and clear-headed in and around the box."

He also commented on Udinese's bid to return to form.

“We all know we haven't picked up as many points as we wanted in the last few games but we're working hard every day to put that right. It'll be another tough match against Spezia but we'll give our all. We want to win and get as many points as we can from these last two games against Spezia and Napoli.”

Lovric then revealed his highlight of the season so far.

“When I scored against Roma and celebrated with my team-mates in front of the Curva in a full stadium – that was the best moment. I can't put into words the joy I felt. I'll never forget that feeling for the rest of my life.”

Finally, the midfielder explained how he prepares for games, displaying the same calm as he does when carrying the ball forward in midfield.

“I'm very relaxed the night before a match. Besides a bit of physio, I might just watch a film on Netflix then I go to bed ready for the game ahead.”
