Adam Masina shared his joy after helping Udinese's triumph over Sampdoriaon Monday evening. The 29-year-old has struggled with injury problems this season but got 90 minutes under his belt on Monday and weighed in with the second goal in the 2-0 victory.
“I couldn't wait to come back and help the team," the centre-back began. "It hasn't been an easy season but I wanted to do my bit for this club because I've enjoyed it here from the moment I arrived. I'm glad I was able to do that today and I hope to continue in this vein.
“We're pleased with result and we're in a good position now but we're not looking at other results. We have some big matches coming up and Fiorentina, Lazio, Salernitana and Juventus all have something to play for. We'll need to reproduce a similar performance to tonight. We've had an excellent season so far but we don't want to stop here. Thanks to the fans for their support tonight.”
