Illija Nestorovski received high praise from his coach after Saturday’s match against league leaders Napoli, because the Macedonian’s strike was key in getting Udinese back into the game, even if they couldn’t complete the comeback. “I’m happy with the goal but disappointed with the result. In the final moments, Napoli were really worried about getting a draw. We’ll now try to rest so that we can be at our best for the second half of the season.”
Udinese sit in eighth spot in the league and a lot of hard work has gone into such an achievement. “We know we are doing well – our league position illustrates that. This year, we’re on the right track and have had a great season. We lost against a great side today, which can happen.”
Whenever Nestorovski is called upon, he’s always ready to give everything for the team. “I work hard every day. I’ve had that mentality since I was little. When I have opportunities like today, I want to make the most of them because I always want to help my team-mates.”
