Ilija Nestorovski was a guest on Udinese Tonight on Monday, with the Udinese forward discussing the team’s fantastic form at the moment under Andrea Sottil.

“It’s a wonderful time for this team after four wins on the spin. We hope we can keep it up and we want to dream more this year.

“We’re improving game by game and we can go a long way if we can keep doing that.

“So much credit goes to the boss. We started learning about his training methods and ideas on day one of our pre-season training camp, so we’ve been improving day after day.

“What’s making the difference is the fact that the coach makes us all feel that we’re important. He tells us we are all starters, as seen by the fact that [Lazar] Samardzic started then came on and scored, just as [Sandi] Lovric did against Roma.

“I’m not setting targets for myself. We’ll just see how it goes. I feel ready and am waiting for the coach to call on me. I always want to give 100% because that’s the way I can help the team.

“We’re playing a very attacking brand of football with a high press and at least four or five players getting into the opposition box.

“We played the whole of the second half in Sassuolo’s half the other day in their half, which means we’re always on the front foot and even if we aren’t creating lots of chances, we still have a better chance of scoring.

“There’s healthy competition in the squad and everyone has to push hard in training.

“It’ll be a huge game against Inter on Sunday between two sides that are high in the table. If we win, we’ll still be in the top four. That’s what we have to think about, while forgetting the win over Sassuolo.

“We hope to keep making the fans happy. There were so many supporters at Mapei Stadium and they really got behind us even when we fell behind. It was the same story at Dacia Arena for the Roma game. The atmosphere was simply incredible.

“I’m thrilled to have stayed here. My family and children also wanted to stay in Udine.”
