Daniele Padelli, one of the elder statesmen of the Udinese dressing room, was interviewed on Udinese Tonight and shared his thoughts on how the 2022/23 season is going so far:
"We’re aware that our form at present isn’t great, however we’re on 30 points in the league and fighting for seventh place. Not all is lost. We’ve got to start grinding out results and getting what we deserve out of games.
"We give 110% in training and sometimes I'm at a loss to explain why this doesn't translate into good results at the weekend. If we stick together and work hard we'll get through this.
"Regarding the boos, I share Andrea Sottil’s opinion. We’re obviously not happy to hear them and didn’t expect such a response after the game we played on Sunday. Like I said, it’s about sticking together and we’ll come out the other side of this.
"Andrea Sottil is a passionate coach, his mentality hasn't wavered since the day he came into the club. We hold nothing back in training or games. He's always positive, continuously backs us and sets a great example.
"Sottil is always excited, he always has the same mentality he has transmitted to us since day one. We always give 110% every second in training and on the pitch. He is always positive, on our side and he sets an example for us."
