Kosta Runjaic expressed his satisfaction after Udinese produced a convincing performance to earn a draw with top-four hopefuls Bologna on Monday evening.
“It was a solid performance and we're very pleased with the point today,” the coach began following the 0-0 stalemate at Bluenergy Stadium.
“We created chances and should have scored in the first half against a great team like Bologna.
“At the end of the day it's a deserved point and it does a lot for the players' morale because they haven't played badly the last few matches, we just haven't been able to score. We needed a game like today's.
“We must stay focused on our work and keep calm. We have to try and get as many points on the board as possible – I said the target was 50 but that looks difficult now.
“I'm happy for [Keinan] Davis. He's a great player and we'll need him in the run-in. Hopefully he can remain fit until the end of the season and I'm sure he'll score goals. We missed him.
“I don't know what's wrong with [Jurgen] Ekkelenkamp exactly but I hope he won't be out for long.”
