Andrea Sottil was stolid in his post-match interview following the conclusion of Cremonese 0-0 Udinese:

“I’m happy with the lads’ performance. We defended resolutely. It was never going to be a walk in the park. We created a lot of chances and we could’ve done better with our final chance from a counter attack but that’s football for you. We’ll get back to winning ways soon, but we put in a disciplined performance and that’s the way to go.

“There’s definitely no lack of determination – we hit the woodwork twice against Lazio and once against Monza. Our forwards are desperate to get on the scoresheet but bad luck happens. We’ve got to keep our calm, keep working hard and not hurry things.”

“Cremonese are a physical side and Massimiliano Alvini has put together a formidable group of players. They pour their hearts and souls into their performances, but we caused them great difficulties. We can’t always score a load of goals in every game - the opposition will have their say.

“As for individuals, Isaac Success played well and we could’ve scored through Gerard Deulofeu which would’ve given us a deserved three points. Marco Silvestri only had one save to make – we defended well as a side. Kingsley Ehizibue is improving as a player.”
