"The numbers say that we had 11 shots in the penalty area, eight shots to one on goal, 17 corners, and two goals conceded of our own making," Andrea Sottil said after the match.
"We played and created a lot, so we're disappointed with the result. We've recorded these statistics against a strong team in Sassuolo. We are not happy with the draw, but we are still seventh with 30 points."
He added: "We are an extraordinary group. We work hard every day with a great sense of responsibility and belonging. We really wanted the win today and we're sorry for the fans.
"It's also a shame to hear the jeers. I don't understand it because I saw a very good match. We must get back to delivering consistent performances and we will go to Milan with this intention."
On Roberto Pereyra, the coach added: "He played the 45 minutes we agreed upon. The most important thing is he doesn't have a recurrence of the injury."
