Thursday's match at Dacia Arena will be the 82nd league meeting between Udinese and Napoli, 17 of which have been won by Udinese and 35 by Napoli with 29 draws.

Our last home win against the Azzurri came on 3 April 2016 under the stewardship of Luigi De Canio. Bruno Fernandes struck a brace and Cyril Thereau notched the third in a 3-1 victory, with Gonzalo Higuain netting for the visitors.

Lazar Samardzic, who scored in the reverse fixture at the Stadio Maradona, could become the youngest player hit double figures for goal involvements in Serie A this season. He currently has five goals and four assists to his name. Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund also has nine so far.

Roberto Pereyra already has ten goal involvements (four scored, six assisted) in Serie A this term. Only once has he managed more in a single campaign: 12 in 2020/21.

Beto needs one more goal to equal his tally of 11 from last season and has found the net in three of his last four appearances at Dacia Arena in Serie A.

Destiny Udogie (20, born in 2002) is the second youngest defender with at least three goals and at least three assists in the top five European leagues this season, after Girona's Arnau Martinez (20, born in 2003).

Andrea Sottil is facing Napoli and opposite number Luciano Spalletti for only the second time in Serie A, following the Azzurri's 3-2 win at the Stadio Maradona in the reverse fixture on 12 November 2022. Sottil previously played under Spalletti during the Tuscan coach's spell in Udine.

Rosario Abisso will be overseeing his 94th Serie A match on Thursday – his tenth in the current campaign. Udinese have only won two of the ten league matches they have played with Abisso in charge (D6, L2) but one of those wins came in Udinese's last match with him: a 5-1 triumph over Cagliari in April 2022.

Udinese have three players who are one booking away from suspension (Sandi Lovric, Isaac Success and Destiny Udogie) while Napoli have two (Kim Minjae and Victor Osimhen).
