Udinese Esports D-Link Pro Player Riccardo “Dastardly27” Nordio finished the eSerieA TIM FIFA Final Eight as one of the four best gamers in the land but was unable to clinch the biggest prize.
Dastardly27’s first match was against Genoa eSports’ Gabry, who clinched a 7-4 aggregate win to force Dastardly27 to go through the Loser Bracket. Dastardly27 bounced back with a 4-2 win over Crotone’s Apeace20 to give himself a chance of making the semis, but a 4-2 defeat to Benevento’s Danipitbull dashed those hopes.
Danipitbull and Benevento went on to win the entire competition, beating Genoa’s Gabry 5-4 in the final.
Despite the elimination, there was a silver lining for Dastardly27 in the form of the MVP by Cisalfa Sport prize for this inaugural eSerie A TIM season.
