Following Udinese’s friendly match against FC Koper Ilija Nestorovski spoke to Udinese TV. Here’s what he had to say:

“It was great to start the game. I’ve had some tough months but now that I’m finally back playing I’m really happy. While as a club we were approaching the game as if it were just a friendly me as an individual was treating it as if it were the Champions League final. After seven and a half months out of action it was just wonderful to be back out there on the pitch. I’m happy because it went well, my knee felt good. Now it’s just a case of keeping on working hard in training

“I’ve played as part of a 4-2-3-1 in other teams prior to joining Udinese. I’ve also played in this formation with North Macedonia. I feel good in this system and I can see that I’ve been constantly getting better. We’ve been working on honing this system as of late and you can see that we’re improving.

“We’ve got a tough game ahead of us against Torino after the international break. Those three points we got from beating Sassuolo were crucial and now we head to Torino aiming to play well. I hope to get some game time and score the winner like I did last season.”
