Udinese came away without any points despite an impressive display at Napoli on Saturday. Gabriele Cioffi spoke to Udinese TV after the defeat, expressing pride in his team’s performance.
“We’re a bit disappointed because we wanted to come away from this game with points under our belt. I think we deserved to, but we were unfortunate.
“The team started well, with the right approach and desire. As I said to them, I would have liked them to come out even stronger.
“What they have within is important, because they are brave and they show it. We came to Napoli and played our game, putting in a great performance. For this reason, we should return home with our heads held high, a positive outlook for the future and a lot of belief.
“We need to recharge our batteries during the break because we must keep going in the same way when we return.
“I’m asking the players to show what they have within, because it’s this spirit that has got them to where they are now.”
