Deulofeu: “We want to keep it up. We aren’t settling”

The Spaniard spoke to Udinese TV after Empoli clash

Gerard Deulofeu wanted to keep his feet firmly on the ground after scoring a goal and grabbing an assist against Empoli.

“We’re not making mistakes at the moment because we’re doing well,” he told Udinese TV in a post-match interview. “You always have to give everything in every Serie A match. Fine margins can make all the difference.

“We’re no longer letting our opponents do what they want. We’re breaking teams down with our physicality.

“We have to keep it up. Nobody is settling. There are seven games left and I don’t want to stop here. I know what my coach and team-mates want from me. We have to keep doing what we’re doing because there’s not long left now.

“There’s a feeling of excitement around the club now, which means we’re doing well, we’re fighting and the fans can see that. The supporters also helped us win in Venice, but we certainly feel stronger at Dacia Arena.”
