Enzo Ebosse and Leonardo Buta were interviewed by Udinese TV on Friday

The Cameroon international commented on the career path that brought him to Udinese via Angers before sharing his initial impressions of the club.

"I garnered a fair bit of experience in Ligue 1. The first season was quite tricky but in my second I fulfilled my potential and showed what I can do.

“I've played left, right and centre in a three-man defence and at left-back too. My favourite position is left central defence but I've improved on the other side. The coach has various options with me and I'll give my all wherever I'm needed.

“I feel privileged to join Udinese. When I got the call I jumped at the chance because I really wanted to play for this club – it's a big opportunity for me. It's a very welcoming club with a family atmosphere. So many great players have passed through Udine. The facilities are top-class, the stadium is amazing. the coach and staff are excellent and the fans are very passionate. I can't wait for the league to start.

“I can't wait to test myself in Serie A. It's improved a lot and is one of the top three in the world. Playing here is another step up for me and I'm very proud to represent Udinese.”

Leonardo Buta meanwhile was flanked by his personal interpreter – none other than his compatriot Beto – as he explained what it means to him to have joined Udinese.

“I'm delighted to be here,” the 20-year-old began. “Udinese are an amazing club who place a big emphasis on youth. When I heard Udinese were interested in me, I was thrilled. I hope to get the chance to make an impact and develop my game in Serie A. I want to be very successful here.”

“The club structure and organisation are first rate and the goals they have here are very precise. I've enjoyed myself with the team. They welcomed me in immediately and having another Portuguese player here in Beto is a big help. We'd never spoken before I joined but from day we've been spending lots of time together.

“I'm a fast, attacking full-back. I like crossing the ball but I also like getting into the box and scoring goals. There are areas of my game I can improve defensively but I'm sure I'll do that there.

It's exciting to be playing in Serie A – it's an intense, very competitive league. The teams you play against are full of world-class players. I'm sure it will help me become a better player.”
