Roberto Pereyra spoke to Udinese TV after the 2-1 victory at home to Sampdoria.
“We’ve picked up three crucial points today. That’s what we needed after all these draws. I feel we deserved to get more from some of them. We’re all pleased with the three points today. We now need to look ahead and have to make sure we kick on from here.
“We spoke at half time and we knew our level dropped off a bit towards the end of the first half, but that’s football. We had to dig in, but we managed to get the win in the end. We certainly need to improve in certain areas and be more clinical up front to put games to bed earlier, but that’s how it went today and we’re pleased.
“We know what the club’s goal is. We’re just taking it game by game. Next weekend we have a very tough game that we’ll prepare for in the week, as we’ve done so far and which has produced good results.
“The fans always get behind us and fire us up. They’re so important for us.”
