Udinese midfielder Tolgay Arslan has told Udinese TV that the team are focusing on climbing the table after their win over Benevento last time out.
“The Benevento win was an important one – we really played as a team,” he said. “Obviously I was pleased to score, but the most important thing was that we got the three points. I hope we can get more wins in our upcoming games and climb the table.”
Arslan went on to speak about his role within this Udinese side.
“I like to have the ball at my feet and try to beat my man,” he said. “If I’m lucky, I get the chance to get a shot away and score. I’ve been used as more of a central midfielder in recent weeks and there have been a few mistakes in there, but I’m adapting to the position. My job is to bring security to the team and to help my team-mates.”
The midfielder also looked ahead to the visit of Juventus this Sunday.
“We know Juventus are one of the best sides in the world, but we’ve always played our best football against the big teams,” he said. “I hope we can spring a surprise for the fans on Sunday.”
