Luca Gotti spoke to Udinese TV to reflect on a difficult evening for the hosts at Dacia Arena.
“Both goals in the first half stemmed from naïve mistakes that we don’t usually make. I don’t have much to say about our attitude and desire, but I do have something to say about Napoli’s strength, not just in terms of them taking the lead, but also the way they managed the game without ever losing their composure. They played like a top team.
“As for the positives, the only thing is that some of our younger players who are still getting a feel for Serie A got some more minutes and experience under their belts. As for the rest, you can’t be happy if you lose 4-0 at home.
“We knew we had a tough run of fixtures coming up. We face Roma in a few days and then Fiorentina a few days after that. We have to find the strength to take all the areas of improvement away with us and keep our heads held high. We’re fourth in the league and we’re going to the Stadio Olimpico to give it our all.”
