Luca Gotti spoke to Udinese TV after the defeat at San Siro:
"Given that we had two strong players up top like Isaac Success and Beto who were capable of causing Inter's backline problems we ended up opting for long balls too often. As a result we conceded possession to them more frequently than we would've liked.
"After Inter took the lead we tried to create more but as a result we left more spaces open; they're great at exploiting such spaces. We faced a great team with top players in every position. Due to the fact we've played three games in six days I tried to switch some players who'd been suffering with fatigue, especially those who play in the most physically-demanding positions.
"I thought that by fielding Mato Jajalo we'd have a greater chance of building play, but as a team we failed in this regard. The recent games haven't been easy ones; we've picked up 11 points in as many matches. I don't think our points total reflects how we've actually played, but it is what it is. We're eight games away from the midway point of the season, among of which are some matches we believe that we can pick up points in which could serve to put the team in a better league position."
