Find out what they had to say...

Success

“I didn't play so much for Watford in the last few years but I always gave everything for the cause. I'm delighted to be here and I want to show people what I'm capable of. I've only been in Udine two weeks but I feel at home already because I knew some of the players from Watford and I spoke to them before coming here. I've heard so many great things about this club. I was keen to try something new and this is a big challenge for me.

“I spoke to some of the coaching staff before coming here and that gave me a lot of confidence because I knew I was coming to a place where people really wanted me

“As for my position, I can come in from the wing or play at centre forward depending on the formation the coach wants to play. I think I'm well suited to [Luca] Gotti's brand of football.

“I had an injury last year but I trained with Watford all summer and went on the bench against Venezia. We won so that was great. Hopefully I'll get to play in the next game.

“Strikers always want to score goals but above all I want to help the team, whether it's with goals or assists. The team always comes first.

“Every player wants to play for their national team and it's my dream to play at the World Cup for Nigeria, but one step at a time. Now I want to focus on Udinese and doing as well as I can here, then we'll see what comes of it at the end of the season.

“The Premier League is one of the top five leagues in the world. I'm happy to have this challenge of facing different players and a different approach here in Italy. I can't wait to get started.”

Perez

“I chose Udinese because they showed how much they wanted me. I asked [Rodrigo] De Paul about the club and he told me it would be a big step forward in my career.

“I'm happy playing anywhere that can help the team – at centre-back, carrying the ball out. I can adapt to whatever the coach wants.

“It's really nice to find lots of fellow Argentines here. I went to [Nahuel] Molina's place for dinner before I started training with the team and I settled in quickly – not just with the Argentines but with everyone.

“I feel I'm ready to play for this club in Serie A. I'm determined to prove everyone right for believing in me.

“I like to watch how different defenders play in different leagues to try and learn from them so I can become a great player myself.”
