After the draw with Juventus on Sunday, Udinese defender Samir had this to say to Udinese TV: “It’s great to make this sort of start to the season – this game meant a lot to us and our focus right away was on picking up points. To start with, we were aiming to win but we didn't manage to. In any case, this is an important point that marks the start of our adventure in this season. We gave everything today – it was a difficult game especially in the first half when Juve made it difficult for us. Then at half-time the coach gave us some instructions and in the second half we came back onto the pitch with a different mentality. We never give up – some might have said that at 2-0 the game was over but now we have a different mentality and we never give up until the very end. That must be the constant thought of those who wear this shirt. [Rodrigo] De Paul and [Juan] Musso are two players who have given a lot to this club – they have left and I wanted to thank them for everything they've done. But now we have to turn the page and think about the players we have here because they will be the ones fighting until the end. Having the fans is always an extra boost for us and that goes for our supporters in particular. They always get behind us and it's important that they're with us right to the end. As for the three-man defence, Bram [Nuytinck] and I have been playing together for a long time now but [Rodrigo] Becao, who came in later, has slotted in very well. We have to keep on working hard because today we gave a really good performance and I feel we are on the right track. We have to continue like this.”
