The Udinese first-team players and coaching staff received their COVID-19 vaccines at the Dacia Arena vaccination hub on Sunday evening following the match against Inter in Milan.

The Dacia Arena is the first stadium in Italy to open up its internal spaces for the vaccination campaign, as part of a partnership with Confindustria and the Friuli – Venezia Giulia regional authorities.

Udinese is the first club in Italy to vaccinate its players and coaching staff against COVID-19.

“It’s a very important moment for us that we’ve been able to vaccinate the Udinese squad at the Dacia Arena hub,” said General Manager Franco Collavino. “It’s a sign of recovery which will allow us to go into next season with more confidence. I’d like to thank Confindustria and all the political institutions that have worked so hard to make this a reality. I think it’s a very symbolic moment because it shows the importance of taking up the vaccine as we enter the final stretch of our battle against COVID-19.”
